Loved the story. As Ben said “ You really have a compelling way to tell your story. Riveting. I was “there” with you. “ I felt the same way. Oh yea I really was.

Your story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Even though you were faced with a terrifying and confusing situation, you were able to overcome it and eventually regain your sense of self. It sounds like this experience also gave you a unique opportunity for self-discovery. By questioning everything you thought you knew, you were able to re-examine your beliefs, values, and relationships, and ultimately emerge from this experience with a stronger sense of who you are.

Thank you for reading. This is the first time in all these years that I have written about that event. My family, for obvious reasons, does not like to talk about it at all.

What a story 😳!! I remember all of it from your much earlier oral retelling EXCEPT the detail about it being your girls who found you in the road!! How traumatic for them 😫!

Yes. To this day they do not like to talk about it. They gave this story two thumbs down. ;-)

Wow! Glad you were ok and that you were so brave. Craig must have been horrified watching his beautiful wife lay lifeless not knowing the outcome. Thanks for sharing this.

It was but more for my family than for me—since I really didn’t know what happened. To this day, my grown daughters will not talk about it—it’s a little too traumatic.

I'm glad that you recovered. I'm sure it's disconcerting not to know the cause of the incident.
