Welcome to my Stack of stories that might make you feel something like,
โHey we all have skeletons in our closets.โ
What do we do with them is the question. How about we release them?
I was raised by alcoholic parents, and though they were not exactly happily married, they loved me and my siblings as best they could. Growing up in a beautiful pocket on the outskirts of the city, situated in front of a little forest where we neighborhood kids played all day provided the perfect landscape for my eventual storytelling.
This environment fed imagination & resilience.
And thatโs what I like to pass along to you.
Telling our stories can be transformative.
In fact, I used to be quite sick until I began writing here. You can read about that in this previous post linked below.
๐Are Secrets Making You Sick? ๐
These days, writing groups, book clubs, church studies, and nature walks keep the synapses firing in my brain.
Spending time with my family energizes me, and my five precious grandchildren are like little vitamins or clear oxygen for me.
Inspiring me to keep writing.
In addition to the vignettes posted here, I have written a book that explores the theme of Identity & Purpose on a deeper level with family secrets splayed out, pointing others to a path to overcome these ground-shifting obstacles in life.
Are you ready to dig into a story that will stick with you?
My Fatherโs Daughter is available on Amazon & at other bookstores.
